Superstar Cruises formally took supply of Superstar Edge from the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France this month, and the vessel has now departed on her first Transatlantic voyage.
The two,900-passenger vessel is the primary of 4 vessels from Superstar Cruises’ Edge Magnificence. On November 6, she started her transatlantic voyage to her house port at T25 at Port Everglades in Fortress Lauderdale, Florida. Her inaugural season shall be spent crusing alternating seven-night jap and western Caribbean cruise itineraries, along with her Maiden Western Caribbean voyage departing on December 9, 2018, and her Maiden Jap Caribbean voyage departing on December 16, 2018. Then, in spring of 2019, Superstar Edge crosses the Atlantic once more to the Mediterranean with a variety of seven- to 11-night sailings.
Superstar Edge marks a turning level in Superstar’s strategy to send design. From the primary sketches, each step was once executed in three-D, making Superstar Edge the primary send to be utterly designed in three-D.
Probably the most largest influences at the design of Superstar Edge was once the need to make the vacation spot revel in extra immersive, and the vessel has a novel, outward-facing design that breaks from conventional send design. The purpose is to allow visitors to really feel extra hooked up with the ocean and their locations.
